Honestly, I'd never do it again. From a driving standpoint it was alright, interior was a bit small for someone over 5ft 10 (I'm 6ft 3) and GM but still, it was a Hummer I loved it. The problem and reason I wouldn't drive one is society. I had rocks thrown at me from a highway overpass from a guy, he damaged the paint to say the least, I've had tires slashed, rocks thrown at me at parking lots etc.
It's not just eco-friendly people who target you, people who hate wealth assume you're loaded when you have one.
The ironic part? It got better MPG than my Silverado of the day (granted it usually had more loaded into it) and I don't remember how we got it, but we didn't own the H2... we mixed vinegar in the ketchup to make ends meet.
I do want to make it clear though I love the H2 haha.

I imagine like a Tahoe. But bigger, worse on gas and with 150% more ego.

The interior was a lot more cramped than a Tahoe but off road (stock vs stock) the H2 felt more stable and pulled through a bit better from my experience.

you found the interior cramped? I Guess I could see it (I'm an inch taller than you) but I think it's the windows giving it that illusion (drove em regularly when I was a Cadillac/Hummer/Saab tech) there's one for sale locally that I kinda sorta want to look into.

Of course haha. Most owners I've met, as pristine as they keep their Hummers they actually liked to trail them or lived in areas with driveways worse than most unmaintained logging roads. I lived just outside a city and most of these guys would drive in regularly if not daily.
Even recently, I was in Northern Quebec.. the amount of H2's up there that are 1) tuned 2) have mud tires on them to actually use were incredible.

I think it's the combination of the high dash/small windows, large center console area, and the sunroof. I've always avoided sunroofs since they drop the interior roofline.
Depending on where you live I say go for it! Where I grew up, it didn't work out due to societal issues, but recently I was in Northern Quebec and it seemed like every 10th house had an H2 in the drive way and the odd one had an H1 or H3 with it.
